It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Rambles


I am going to Alton Towers tomorrow!! I can't wait! I went about 2 months ago maybe a month and a half ago with ~chrisbin but now I am going with my Dad and Heleanor. Ha! This should be fun. I am hoping that my brother will come along as him and my Dad haven't really been in touch for a while and now my Dad is all excited about him coming with us. I don't think he wants to come. I have called my Mum and asker her to bug him all day though. Thanks Mum!
I've just been taking some pictures! Its been a while but today I woke up and the weather was so nice.. Luckly my camera was at ~chrisbin's so I spent some time in the garden with it. Didn't have my macro filters though. Poops.
I really want the new xbox 360!! Waa! Anyone a millionaire? ;] Get in touch, please!
On the weekend just passed I realised that I can get quite rowdy when watching football. Wow, I certainly had my rage face on and I suppose it didn't help that I was also drinking. I was just like COME OOOOON!
Poor Green letting the ball go in the net like that. My heart goes out to him! England are playing again on Friday! Eeee! I hope we win, we need a win after last week.
