Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Artist of the Week

My artist of the week is ~zsebgomb
I usually feature artists that I know from my watchlist and that I know pretty well. I don't know ~zsebgomb well but what I do know is that his traditional art is super! I stumbled across his page a couple of weeks ago and was like.. WOW! COOL! There is so much detail in his work, it must take forever to finish! Go and have a peek at his gallery. Rambles

Oh dear, it really has been a while, i am sorry. I bet no one even missed me though! Meanies. Oh oh! Has anyone been to see Inception yet? I have! I thought it was so cool! Now I really, really want to go and see Toy Story 3! Hopefully me and ~chrisbin will go soon.
I had such an awesome day last week, me and ~chrisbin went into Town and he did some shopping and we went to the cinema and bought snacks. <3
It was such an awesome day and I love him so much! >.<
Its his birthday soon and I have been buying things online for him! I hope he will like his pressies. I still have to go into Town and buy more things.
Work has been going okay and I have been getting more hours. I have applied for a second job and been told that I will have an interview soon but seen as they will be taking on a few people I have to wait till they decide on all the people they would like to employ and then I will know when my interview is. I am excited! Whats cool is that I can keep my job I have now and with this new one I can pick when I would like to work each week! So hopefully I will be able to fit things by doing maybe one or two night shifts a week. Then I can save and learn how to drive! This really must be done soon. Night out next week in Fab Café!! Yay! My fave place in Town! I can't wait to wear one of my new dresses and have a boogie. <3
I am feeling very happy and I seem to be feeling more and more happy lately which is of course, awesome! Ahhhhh :] Gonna go play some Borderlands with Andy. Hope you like the features and shizz.
